More than 80 million computer users around the world go online safely, thanks to AVG. You didn’t buy your PC to worry about security. That’s why we’ve designed our software so you can work, play, surf, and chat online while we take care of keeping you safe. We’re so quiet and efficient, you won’t even know we’re there. But you can rest assured that we are. AVG’s unique LinkScanner is the only technology to check websites and search results at the only time that matters – when you’re about to click that link. AVG’s new scanning system only scans files changed since the last scan, so it won’t slow down your surfing, downloading, and on-line chatting. Here’s what we’re doing behind the scenes to keep you and your PC out of trouble. While you’re surfing and searching the web, LinkScanner SurfShield ensures every website you visit is safe – even before you go there. LinkScanner SearchShield gives safety ratings to all your Google, MSN and Yahoo search results. LIVE Research checks to make sure web pages really are what they appear to be. While you’re emailing, IMing or on your social networks, WebShield lets you download and exchange files without risking virus infections. Email Scanner keeps viruses, phishers, and scammers out of your inbox. Whether you’re online or offline, Anti-Virus makes sure you can’t get or spread an infection. Anti-Spyware keeps your passwords and other personal information private. Anti-RootkitProduct Details

AVG Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware--essential protection that won't get in your way.
It doesn't waste your time. It just keeps you safe--online or off.
Most web threats these days are literally here today, gone tomorrow. So the only way to protect yourself is to use software that checks the page behind every link at the only time that matters--right before you click on it.
Whenever you're on the web, the moment you go to click on a link, LinkScanner analyzes the page behind that link to tell you whether there's something nasty hiding there.
For added peace of mind, you also get safety ratings for your Google, Yahoo! and Bing/MSN search results.
